I've spent my entire life on the ocean. I derive my living as a sustainable commercial hook-and-line fisherman and private guide. The past two decades I focused my efforts in small boats for big fish in our local coastal and offshore islands setups in our backyard.

I grew up in the San Diego sportboat and long range fleet, private charter and tournament yacht circuit.I left the mortgage biz in 2013 to carve a small boat big fish niche. Extensive experience fishing big boats and skiffs at every island hotspot Channel Islands to the Rivilla Gigedos. I have a deep respect for the ocean and it's creatures.

Throughout my career I have starred on Inside Sportfishing on FOX, written for publications Western Outdoor News, Pacific Coast Sportfishing, The Bight, Sport Fishing Magazine, Baja Life, and on Instagram & Facebook. I founded Skool of Savvy October 2025 when I learned new skills in the digital marketplace and see the opportunity to help anglers acheive their pelagic big-game goals.

I currently hold the tournament record at the WON Catalina Island White Seabass Championship 62.5 lb WSB. Blessed to have earned 2nd place and a win at SoCal's most prestigeous inshore tournament.

Current west coast record holder: 421 lb Bluefin Tuna. Won the WON California Tuna Jackpot 2021 & set Tournament Record
